Science and Ethics for Pre-emptive Protection of Human and Environmental Health

Lack of proof of a problem, is not proof of no problem.  Europe’s Standard for chemicals regulation under REACH is, “no data, no registration.”  

We need to improve laws, regulations, data collection and use of science in Canada. 

Environmental and health science and surveillance must support both making and reviewing choices (e.g. pesticide registration).
