Registration

  • Individuals - $20 or pledges of at least $200
  • 4-person teams - $80 or pledges of at least $800
  • Families – $35 or pledges of at least $300 (2 adults; 2 children under age 15)

To start a team for the Red Mountain event, select “Start a Team”, then click Create a new team under an existing group: Red Mountain Challengers

Pick up your registration kits at Red Mountain on Saturday, March 27, from 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Kits will contain an event bandana, contest rules, goodies and great information on cancer prevention.


Collect Pledges

Encourage your friends and colleagues to support cancer prevention. The online system makes it easy! Just follow these steps:

1. Register yourself or your team by following the simple instructions.
2. Support a participant. To donate to the event, search for first name “cancer”, last name “prevention”.
3. Create your own participant or team web page and ask friends and colleagues to help you reach your fundraising goal
4. Have donors contribute on-line with their credit cards, or collect pledges and put them on your credit card.


Contest Rules

  • Find Ullr’s Gear
  • Egg and Spoon Race
  • Skier/Boarder Relay Race
  • Snow Volleyball

  • Find Ullr’s Gear

    • Teams (4 people or fewer, or families) meet at top of Silverlode Chair – 10:00 a.m.
    • The Marshall there will give you your first clue, which will lead you to a piece of gear, and the second clue. Follow the clues from there.
    • Team members find gear and bring it to base area, to dress their team Ullr model
    • Gear consists of:
      — Skis (2)
      — Boots (2)
      — Poles (2)
      — Jacket (1)
      — Pants (1)
      — Hat (1)
      — Goggles (1)
      — Gloves (2)
    • Points are awarded for:
      — 1 point for every piece of equipment found (up to 12 points)
      — 1 extra point for matching gear (up to 4 points)
      — 2 extra points for creativity
      Maximum of 18 points

    TIP: Bring a pack-sack to help you carry gear!

    Egg and Spoon Race

    Categories:

    • Children (8 and under) – 11:10 a.m.
    • Children (9-12) – 11:15 a.m.
    • Teens (12-17) – 11:20 a.m.
    • Adults and families – 11:25 a.m.

    Rules:

    • Racers are provided with a spoon.
    • They collect an ‘egg’ and race through the course to the finish line.
    • First person across the line wins in each category.

    Skier/Boarder Relay Race

    Categories:

    • Children (age 8 and under) – 11:30 a.m.
    • Children (age 9-12) – 11:40 a.m.
    • Teens (age 12-17) – 11:50 a.m.
    • Adults and families – 12:00 p.m.

    Rules:

    • Participants make up teams of two skiers or one skier and one boarder.
    • Skier must push the other skier or boarder through the course, following race directions to be provided at the event.
    • First team across the finish line wins in each category.

    Snow Volleyball

    Regular volleyball rules apply. Extra points for costumes and use of the event bandana.
